  2. Approve incoming rental requests
  3. Arrange a time to exchange your item with the borrower 
  4. Get paid through our secure payment system

If you want to rent something, just:

  1. Find what you’re looking for 
  2. Book the item for the dates you need it and get verified by us 
  3. Arrange a time to collect your item from the renter and enjoy your rental

If we’re not able to immediately verify your account, we’ll need to collect a little more information so we can manually verify your account. Look out for a message from our customer support team, which will let you know the next steps.

Once the transaction is in process, the associated member now has access to your phone number in order to complete the transaction and organize the meeting. 

We NEVER share addresses, and only provide phone numbers once the rental transaction has been confirmed.

Currently, we only support shipping for gear purchases (sales), not rentals since our damage waiver coverage options do not extend to items in transit.

ShareGrid is designed around local transactions, so all pickups and returns for rental equipment happen in person.

You can search for equipment based on location so that you can find the right item nearby, and then make arrangements to meet with the owner to pick up the gear.

Some owners offer local delivery for rentals for an extra fee. Look for the green ‘truck’ icon on their listings, and ask for the owner’s rates for delivery.
